Procedures tell us how to do something such as instructions to make something or directions on how to get somewhere. Procedures are usually organised to include the goal of the activity, the materials needs and steps to accomplish the goal.

Procedural texts
Procedures tell us how to do something. This might include instructions for how to carry out a task or play a game, directions for getting to a placed, a recipe or the rules of behaviour.

Persuasive Texts
An exposition or persuasive text persuades a reader or listener by presenting one side of an argument. By taking a point of view and justifying it, we aim to convince others to see only that side of an issue.

Narrative Texts
A narrative relates a realistic, imagined or fictitious story. It is written to entertain, amuse
and interest the reader. Literary texts describe or explore human experiences and the reader or listener responds in a reflective, imaginative or emotional manner |
Information Reports
Information reports are used to present information about something. They generally describe an entire class of things. whether natural or man-made; mammals, the planets, rocks, plants, computers, countries of the region and so on.
